The Israel-U.S. Binational Industrial Research and Development (BIRD) Foundation approved $ 850K in funding for a collaborative R&D project by ECOncrete® and Besser Company (a world leader in concrete products machinery). The project, entitled: Bio-enhanced drycast concrete products that mitigate climate impacts will be launched in Q1 of 2016, and entail development of two innovative products aimed at reducing the ecological footprint of urban and coastal structures.

ECOncrete®  congratulates New York Harbor Schools’ Tahirah Abdo for her amazing achievements. Based upon her ECOncrete’s research project, Tahirah won second place at the NYC Science and Engineering Fair over all high school’s in NYC, and will receive a full scholarship to an Ivy league top college! ECOncrete® engineers who installed a new type of fish-friendly concrete at the Port of Savannah are encouraged by the growth of aquatic plants and animals on panels tested at the Georgia Ports Authority’s (GPA) Garden City Terminal. In February, Shimrit Finkel and Ido Sella of ECOncrete^® suspended a series of 30 panels from the docks at Garden City Terminal, featuring different chemical formulations and surface textures.
