We are happy to highlight the upcoming ASCE Metropolitan Section COPRI Technical Lecture in New York to all engineers, planners, and other professionals. Maor Bezner (ECOncrete) and Douglas Friend (Jacobs) will discuss one of New York’s most significant climate-adaptation initiative, the East Side Coastal Resiliency Project (ESCR).

We will explore how coastal protection measures are designed to reduce flood risk while enhancing public space and ecological performance along Manhattan’s East River waterfront. The ESCR project incorporates a range of ECOncrete’s nature-inclusive elements to create marine habitats within East River Park, offering a model for future climate-resilient urban shorelines.

Doug Friend of Jacobs and Maor Bezner of ECOncrete will share design considerations, lessons learned from similar New York City deployments, and key factors for successful implementation of shoreline solutions that create valuable habitats and nature capital at scale.

Register now to learn how we build the next generation of resilient shorelines that create habitats and natural capital at scale. 1.0 NYS PDH will be offered. For virtual or in-person registration visit Eventbrite:
